Professional practice begins before a person has a job title or professional registration. It is reflected in the way we learn, make decisions, use information, treat others, recognise the limits of our competence, and take responsibility for the impact of digital technology.
This course explores what responsible professional practice looks like and how individuals can work effectively in a sustainable and inclusive way. Learners will examine the responsibilities associated with computing and digital work, including professional identity, ethics, global and cultural awareness, inclusion, personal wellbeing, healthy digital working, and professional confidence.
Throughout the course, learners will apply professional codes, ethical decision-making approaches, and relevant legal and accountability principles to realistic situations. The course also encourages learners to reflect on their own professional identity, responsibilities, and areas for future development.
